Summary: Kyoko is starting to worry about her brother.

It's the edge of feeling, the growing knowing that something is off. She smiles and loves, and a part of her knows she goes through life with eyes closed but that makes her happy. There is the sharp pain of how she has hurt the boys, the dull ache of disconnection from her parents and while she would change some things all she can do is move forward.

But this is not the bliss of ignorance, this is... a bell. Sharp and loud and demanding attention, a panicked bird in her ear warning that something is off. There is not goodness, but a rightness in some lies but whatever her brother hides now is big. And while they both know the power of half truths, she worries more and more that this is something she would rather know. She knows she is not strong, has never been and may never have to thanks to her brother, but she does know how to be there for someone. She can share the weight, and be a shoulder to that cool strength that has always kept her safe.

She doesn't know what is wrong, the stories behind the odd trips and the strangeness even she can't ignore in those closet to her. But brother is what matters, keeping him safe in the ways she can even if that's only adding another pair of footprints to his path. Maybe nothing at all is wrong, and she is making monsters out of shadows. But if she is right...

Kyoko watches. For once she tries to figure out the bigger picture, and maybe soon the day will come when they have to find the power of truths together. If they do, Kyoko is ready.
