He's seven and girls are the worst thing ever besides for his mom, but everybody knows moms aren't girls. And he guess Nick's mom is okay, but she's weird because who names their kid Phoenix? (Because normal names are so much cooler and of course he isn't jealous that his friend got a name like that.)
But then there's Dawn. She's pushy and doesn't dress like those flowery icky girls and she can actually play soccer which is good. Which is why he doesn't get when she gives him a valentine, she was more like a guy then a girl and he also doesn't get why she looks like someone did something to her dog when she leaves. He feels kinda bad, but girls still have cooties. And who knows what they're thinking, if Dawn somehow liked him? He doesn't worry about it, and by next year he's forgotten her name.

But he still remembers the event, so it kinda serves him right when he has cookies to give to a friend. (And he's just a friend cause he's a boy and everyone knows boys don't like boys, he just really likes his new friend.) He has to hunt all over for the silver haired boy and when he finds Edgy he's talking with a girl, and yeah he knows girls are okay but it still kinda hurts to see him smile at her and he ends up having the cookies all by himself and not talking to his mom, but she still gives him a hug and that makes it a little bit better at least.

He doesn't really like thinking about when Miles left, even now.

Larry still hasn't had a girlfriend at sixteen, but he doesn't really care because he has had dates and that's cool. So what if he's the only kid their age besides for Nick who'd never gone steady? Nick, who no one really counts because they're all privately wondering if he even realizes girls exist yet. He'll really have to do something about that one day...
Everything changes with Robin, who is pretty and sweet and one of the most popular kids in town. She goes to the nearby private school, so of course he takes interest when she shows up in her uniform, heading straight for him. This was the thing dreams were made of, nay, that the porn dvds of the gods was and oh how her skirt went up when she sat down. "You're... Larry, right?" She smiled, the image of goodness. "I have a proposition."
And it turned out that was every bit as dirty as it sounded in his heads.

Of course it doesn't last long, since he's just a third and she has her girlfriend, but he's just lived every guy's fantasy. More then once. Sure, it looked a bit better on the dvds, but sex was still nice if weird. After that he decided it was time to get that girlfriend.
He didn't find one till Jasmine, a girl who was close to getting kicked out of school and was living on her own. What she did for work was modeling and shortly after they started dating she made her break so now he was dating a big shot model, and that was just the coolest thing ever. So what if she broke up with him pretty quickly after that, he wouldn't dream of getting in the way and those rumors she was cheating on him? Just jealous assholes who wished they could have her for a minute.
Nick was kinda worried, and he had to reassure his friend. It was fine, didn't Nick have his art to work on so he could get into that nice art college? As for Larry, it was all same old to him. He'd dropped out freshman year, so he ended up with more.. unique~! jobs then most, but that was fine with him. He even did a bit of sculpting on the side after he visited Nick that one time. Mostly it wasn't that exciting for the next few years. He had more girlfriends, most of the models. He doesn't really think about the fact that most of them don't last long.

Next time they really meet- Actually get to talk, just seeing Edgey at the trial doesn't count. - is the dinner afterwards. That cop has to go because of paperwork, and Nick is gone a little after that to take Maya back home.
Soon it's just the two of them, and it's like old times. It's... nice, and they both end up staying for a few hours past the others. It's the most fun Larry's had in months.

For all that's going on (With how he ragged on Edgey for not returning the calls all those years back, Phoenix is a fucking hypocrite for vanishing into thin air like that.) things are still going good too. He's got a gallery showing coming up, and his old friend actually agreed to coming.
He's got a little something for him, seeming as a certain day is coming up. He just hopes Miles still liked oatmeal cookies.
